Safeguarding
Hi, I’m Shaun Silver. When my son, Riley, joined the Junior Academy of Darts in Outwood, I saw firsthand the incredible impact this sport has on focus, discipline, and confidence. I knew immediately that I wanted to do more than just watch from the sidelines—I wanted to help build a foundation where every young player feels safe, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential. Drawing on my three years of experience coaching youth football, I’ve stepped into the role of Safeguarding Officer. My mission is simple: to ensure that while our players are busy hitting targets on the board, they are doing so in an environment that prioritises their well-being above all else.

Head Coach
With over fifteen years of competitive darts experience and a deep passion for grassroots sport, Jim Creighton is dedicated to inspiring the next generation of players at the Junior Academy of Darts, Outwood.
Focusing on fundamental throwing technique, board management, and positive sportsmanship, he creates an encouraging environment where young players of all abilities can thrive. Fully accredited and DBS-checked, Jim Creighton blends structured training routines with engaging match-play drills designed to build confidence at the oche. Whether a player is picking up darts for the first time or aiming for junior county honours, every youth is supported to reach their full potential.

Meet Our Mascot Cole
He is soon to be 6 and is the brother of Reggie, one of the acadamy players. Cole attends everyweek, mainly to feed the ducks, but enjoys watching his big brother and wants to play as soon as he is old enough.
